Matches, home and away, are played against local clubs from April to September. The results are nearly as important as enjoying the company! All who wish to play will do so.

Two week-day competitive “fiddles” are played throughout the year on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. All are made very welcome.

There are numerous senior’s trophies to be played for throughout the year, (must be 55 or over on the day), most of which qualify for handicap purposes and carry prizes. The final trophy to mention is the Rider Cup, (spelling deliberate), played over 3 days between Notts & Derby.

The section organises three open competitions each year including a Christmas Comp shotgun start in December with a festive meal afterwards.

Throughout spring and summer teams are often sent to seniors open competitions throughout Derbyshire, Notts, South Yorkshire, Leicestershire and Staffs. A prize is not uncommon!
