Thursday 23rd July, we were pleased today to put on the annual Seniors Open at the Club.

Well done to Andy Ryder and his team for their early start, presenting the course in great condition again for this event. The weeks of dry weather has been a challenge, but the course looked great and as usual presented a tough challenge to the competitors. All the scores are listed below, plus the nearest the pin winner, nearest the line winner and those who got 2’s on the day.

The top five prize winners who won Pro shop vouchers were:

1st: Alwyn Brooks and Ian Cook- 43pts
2nd: Nigel and Robin Savage – 42pts
3rd: Martin McCarthy and Keith Hopkinson – 41pts (19+22)
4th: Phil Such and Bob Ball  41pts (22+19)
5th: Trev Haslam and John Pollard – 41pts (23+18)

Straightest Drive: P Rainsford
Twos prizes: D Lowe/P Eveson and M Turner/ R Bagnall

Prizes can be collected and redeemed from Nev Hallam’s Pro Shop.

Thanks also go the Nev Hallam for sorting out the cards, Steve and Teresa plus their team for all the catering duties, Captain Nigel Savage for starter duties, and Gordon Kells for organising the day.

Not to forget the donations for the raffle plus all the players who supported and played in the event.
