Seniors Captain v Treasurer Match
On Tuesday 14th April a squad of 30 seniors were divided in to two teams to compete in the annual Captain v Treasurer Match Play Competition.
Last year the Treasurer’s team ran out comfortable winners, and this year Captain Nigel was out for revenge and made it clear to all his team what he expected from them!
Maybe it was that, or maybe there was a bit of complacency in the Treasurer’s team, or maybe a bit of both – but whatever the reason the Captain’s team was able to deliver a convincing 11-4 win. The Captain even managed to raise his game in a tough close match to avenge his defeat last year, and it was Gordon who was left to rue a missed short putt on the 17th that ultimately cost him the game.
