Just over 2 months later than originally scheduled (thanks to non-stop rainy weather keeping the course closed, or severely restricted, through Jan & Feb!) 24 seniors competed in an AM-AM Yellow Ball competition.

The course was in remarkably good condition seeing it is only starting to dry out after unprecedented and persistent wet weather. Everyone was pleased to just get out and play – even if there was evidence of a degree of rustiness in the play!! So it’s a big thank-you to Andy and the team for managing to present the course in such a good condition given the impediments they’ve had to contend with!

As to results, although in the same team again Trevor Haslam & Brent Ridley couldn’t quite replicate their form of last Thursday when they romped/cruised to victory in the Texas Pairs competition. They didn’t do badly though, as they, along with Dave Welsh & Ron Naylor ended up as Bridesmaids to the winners (by 2 points) of John Pollard, Ross Poyner, Keith Else and Chris Moore.

Full results are tabulated below, and provided the rain isn’t too bad over the next couple of weeks we hope to catch up on the other competitions that have been postponed.
