AGC Seniors match

Today the AGC Seniors played their final singles comp of the year, a stableford format for the Roger Bostock Trophy.
The course was in brilliant condition and the freshly cut greens were running true and fast. The weather, whilst fine and dry, did make for testing conditions! The blustery wind meant careful consideration was needed for club selection, and it also stirred up the leaves to occasionally hide players golf balls!
As a result scoring was difficult, only 7 of the 24 competitors achieving 30 or more points, and nobody managed 36 points to be able to claim they’d played to their handicap!
A back 9 count back was needed to separate 3rd placed Brent Ridley from runner up Dave Lowe (both with 34 points). But the honours went to Trevor Haslam (35 pts) who is still (allegedly!) recovering from a serious shoulder injury!  Questions are being asked as to what, exactly, is in his medication! And can we all have some!!
