Today the first Alfreton Golf Club IGolfer Open Competition was held.

The competition saw both women and men compete for the prizes on offer.

The ladies competition was won by Amanda Parker scoring 33 Stableford points beating Jo Attenborough by a point.

In the men’s section the competition was extremely close.

Barry Alberry scored 37 points including an eagle on the par 5 third.

In second place John Allkins had 36 points and was ahead of Philip Parker on a back nine count back..

Amanda and Philip are husband and wife so a profitable time was had by that particular family.

John Laurence the Alfreton Golf Club Captain was on hand to present the voucher prizes to all of the winners.

Barry Alberry as well as receiving a voucher prize for his first place finish won a free months membership to Alfreton Golf Club.
