Our spring Invitation Day took place today, 17th May, with another hot and sunny afternoon to test the later golfers.

Well done to Captain John Lawrence for putting on a great event which was well supported by both members and visitors alike.

Lots of helpers made the day run smoothly, with thanks going to the greens staff and volunteers for presenting the course in its usual good condition. Lady Captain Vonnie Savage and lady members gave us a half way house with plenty of drinks and cakes to keep us all going, so a big thanks to them too. Steve, Teresa and their staff kept us going with pre and post drinks as well. Finally a thanks to Nev Hallam for organising the raffle and sorting out the registration and results too.

The tally of funds raised for the Captains Charity, PASIC, will be made over the coming days.

Well done to Derrick Hardman and partner Lawrence Armstrong coming in with 46 points and claiming to top prize. A special mention to young Oliver Cluskey claiming 6th place following on from a great result in the previous weekend, having won his division of our Golf Foundation competition.
