Our Christmas Competition was played today, 3^rd December, a pairs betterball. A cold but sunny day left the course in great condition for this annual event which was supported by a good number of our regular playing Members. There was some excellent scoring among the groups, so much that 41 points was not necessarily enough to get in to the prizes!

The top six were:

1^st: Brent Ridley and Dave Lowe: 46pts
2^nd: Mike Rapkins and Andy Walker: 43pts
3^rd: Keith Else and Dave Welsh: 43pts
4^th: Paul Eveson and Ross Poyner: 42pts
5^th: Gordon Swain and Ian Briggs: 41pts
6^th: Trev Haslam and John Pollard: 41pts

In addition to the main prizes there was a nearest the pin in 2 on the 9^th/18^th hole, which was won by Gordon Kells.

The afternoon was rounded off by an excellent 2 course Christmas lunch served by Steve, Teresa and their team. It was an excellent atmosphere in the clubhouse with the day being enjoyed by all, a great start to the Christmas season. After the meal the Seniors Captain, Nigel Savage presented the winners with their prizes and a lucky number managed to win a raffle prize as well.
