SENIORS 2024 AGM AND AWARDS PRESENTATION
Our Seniors AGM and Prize Presentation was held yesterday (14th Nov) with 34 members attending and apologies received from a further dozen.
Retiring Captain Clive Nattrass reported on the highlights of his year in the role, thanking everyone for their participation in our home and away interclub friendlies and support of our internal competitions.
He was pleased to report we had won all our home matches and also managed a win and a draw in the away matches of which we lost six. He also thanked the catering staff for their service to us during the year, acknowledging that visiting teams had always praised the standard of the post match meals.
Following Clive’s report Gordon Kells, in his combined Secretary & Treasurer role, reported on the finances and administration aspect of the Seniors Section and chaired the debates and voting on proposals raised by members.
Trophies and Prizes for competition winners were then presented by Captain Clive and his Vice Captain Nigel Savage, with a somewhat humerous narrative provided by Gordon Kells.
The final act of the meeting was to confirm, by a unanimous show of hands, the appointment of Nigel Savage as Seniors Captain for 2025 and we wish him every success for his term of office.
