10^th October: We were pleased to stage our annual Mixed Open at the Club today, the format was a pairs Texas Scramble. Having been rearranged from its original date in July there was quite different feel to the course compared to the normal summer conditions. Autumn chilly weather saw less run on the fairways and greens somewhat slower than normal and this was reflected in the winning scores which are attached here.

Thankyou goes to Andy Ryder and his greens staff for their early start getting the course ready after the rain of the past few days. Also to Steve, Teresa and all their team for their long shift behind the bar. Our Seniors team of volunteers should also be commended for organising the day and see it run so smoothly.

As the sun started to set the final groups returned to the Clubhouse in time for Seniors Vice Captain Nigel Savage to present the prizes which went top 5 pairs who were:

1^st: Captain Graham Lunn with Kath Lucas-Yates

2^nd: Phil and Sue Bennett

3^rd: Robin and Julie Savage

4^th: Trevor Parrett and Olivia Dowling

5^th : Brian Holt and Sally Lucas

Nearest the pin on the 7^th went to Kath Lucas-Yates

A great day was had by all and we look forward to running the event again in 2025.
