As expected the final round of this year’s Hampshire Hill Trophy produced a very close finish. With all four main contenders playing together they could each keep on the other’s progress. Three of the four scoring 18 points on the evening and one with 16 points meant that the calculator was needed once again. On count back Peter Hilton claimed the win on the night and by one point for a total of 101 points over Gary Griffiths to claim the trophy. Playing one under par for five rounds is no mean feat around Alfreton. Peter can be seen here receiving the trophy from our sponsor Richard Hampshire. Another very successful event at Alfreton Golf Course with a total of forty different members playing at sometime during the 10 rounds.
