For the second year, Alfreton have had a team entered into the Derbyshire County Mens Handicap League. Congratulations to them as this year they have finished runners up in the North Group.

Captained by Tom Uniacke they have played a series of matches from April through to July, home and away, against local Derbyshire Clubs.

A number of our Members have supported the team, including Stu Anthony, Chris and Roo Burnham, Gary Griffiths, John Lawrence, Graham Lunn, Daz Oldknow, Trev Pearson, Bob Toth, Glynn , Phil and Stu Walters, James Woodthorpe. Some of the players are shown in the picture above. (Apologies if anyone has been missed off the list). Each match was made up of a 5 man team with 2 points per game for a win and 1 for a draw.

Tom was very pleased that the team managed some good victories especially away from home and that they were enjoyable events all played in good spirits. Check out the results and final table below.
