The Golden Putter Competition was held yesterday afternoon, 6th August. A major weekend competition for Ladies held annually.

In recent years this event was supported and funded by past Captain and President, Mackay Duff who provided prizes and a meal for the ladies after their game. ‘Mac’ sadly passed away at the end of 2020 and in memory of this, the Ladies provided yellow roses and a tartan cover, the former being his late wife’s favourite flower.

This year, first place went to Ann Eley, scoring a 76 in the tough conditions after recent rains. Runner up spot was secured by Debbie Matthews with a net 80.

The prize giving took place after a meal in the clubhouse with the prestigious ‘Golden’ Putter being awarded to Ann by this year’s Lady Vice Captain Lisa Hutchins
