Captain vs Vice Captains Match

The results of Saturdays Captain vs Vice Captain match are in. Thank you to all who took part, the weather was kind, but given the atrocious weather over the past weeks the course probably was playing pretty hard. However, it was good to play off the Gold pots and set a base-line for improvement on over the rest of the season.

The winner of the individual competition was Gary Glynn with a fantastic 35 points, second (on count back) was Mark Brooks with 33 points and Trevor Haslam was third. Winner of the nearest the pin on the 7th was Ross Poyner, and looking at his points scored, this was probably his one and only good shot! 🙂

So to the main event, which was won by the Captain’s team accumulating 19 wins to the Vice-Captain’s 10. The Captain would probably say that margin of victory sounds familiar, but best not upset the Vice-Captain!

Actually, when adding up the total number of points accumulated by each team the margin of victory was much smaller, in the main due to Graham picking the top three individual winners.

Hope you all enjoyed the day and again, thanks for your support, we also raised a brilliant £115 for the Captains Charities. Thank you from Phil Taylor
