The Terry Round Trophy 2022

The sixth annual running of the Terry Round Trophy took place last evening, 29th July. A shotgun start saw Members and friends take to the course to play a competition in memory of Terry who passed away in 2017.

As tradition demanded, all were asked to wear Terry’s trade mark flat cap and to stop at the top of the hill of the eighth hole to remember the spot where he’d usually take a few extra breaths.

We started promptly at 5.00, playing a shotgun to make sure we could all finish in daylight. After all the players were in we drank a toast to Terry recalling memories of his playing days and the results were announced. Well done to Trevor Parrett who had one of those days scoring 45 points (25 on the back nine!) winning by three shots from Pete Labas.

Thanks goes to past Captain Billy Morrision for running the competition and to Steve and his staff for staying open late to serve the drnks.
