10 holes in 2 hours

Golf Course Map

Is time limited for you? Not everyone has 4-5 hours for a round of golf. We have 10 holes here at Alfreton which can be completed in around 2 hours, leaving you time for other things to be done in a day.

We are celebrating our 130th anniversary this year and our established course was developed as a 9 hole set up and has always been seen as one of the best courses of it’s type in the county. A parkland course located adjacent to Oakerthorpe Woods with views across the local countryside.

Over the years we have made various changes to the set up including the addition of two further holes in the 1980s. Most recently we made further modifications by converting two of those holes into a single par 5 which added some 500 yards to the layout.

Visitors and societies are welcome to check out the challenging layout and still have time to sample the food provided by our newly appointed Stewards, Steve and Teresa Winfield.

If you want to play a full 18 holes, don’t worry, there are additional tees on 8 of the holes to enable a full round to be completed, normally in less than 4 hours.
