Terry Round Competition 2019

The third annual running of the Terry Round Trophy took place on 9th August. A shotgun start saw Members and friends take to the course to play a competition in memory of Terry who passed away two years ago.

As tradition demanded, all were asked to wear Terry’s trade mark flat cap and to stop at the top of the hill of the seventh hole to remember the spot where he’d usually stop to take a few extra breaths.

We started early this year to make sure we could finish in daylight. After all the players were in we drank a toast to Terry and the results were announced. Well done to Chris Burnham who took the course apart scoring a fabulous 43 points (24 on the back nine!) winning by two shots from Shane Stocks and John Lawrence who coincidentally was playing with one of Terry’s old clubs.
