Hampshire Hill Trophy

Our second friday night social golf competition was played yesterday.

Over a series of four friday nights through the summer, Members are competing for the Hampshire Hill Trophy, kindly sponsored by Richard Hampshire. It’s played on the ‘back nine’ and your three best stableford scores through the series will determine the overall trophy winner.

All Members are welcome to play and there are prizes on the night for the top three, (minimum). Friday 28th June saw Shane Stocks take the spoils with Mark Draper and Dave Gould coming second and third.

Last night even more players participated and Graham Lunn was the winner, with Keith Watson, Chris Burnham and Matt Howe making up the top four places.

So, after two rounds the top three places with the best two scores to date are Dave Gould (32), Dan Bennett (31), Shane Stocks and Trev Parrett (30).

The final two rounds are 2nd and 16th August, so put a date in your diaries and come along. Even if you can’t win the main prize you can win on the night! And afterwards…have a drink and something off Steve’s barbecue too. It’s a great way to meet some new friends at the Club.
