The second annual running of the Terry Round Trophy took place on 17th August. A shotgun start saw around 30 players take to the course to play a competition in memory of Terry who passed away in 2017.

All were asked to wear flat caps, a nod to Terry who was rarely seen without his. We all halted on the hill on the 7th hole to pay our respects as that was a usual spot for him to need to take a rest and gather his breath!

In failing light, the competition was completed and in the Clubhouse, having a drink to celebrate Terry’s memory, the Trophy was awarded by the Captain to Alan Beastall who scored a creditable 40pts off the yellow and blue tees, (Terry always disliked playing off the white pots!!)
