The Ladies Golden Putter Competition was held last Saturday afternoon, it is one of the main Ladies annual competitions and as such they are given priority on the course during the afternoon.

A good turnout from the ladies section saw the first prize go to this year’s Lady Captain, Ellie Bennett, who finished with 35pts, just two points ahead of Ann Eley with Anthea Thompson taking third place on count back from three other players all one further point behind.

The prizes were presented at a dinner in the clubhouse which followed the game. That included the prestigious ‘Golden Putter’ being awarded to the winner.
