After a year of fundraising, the 2017 Alfreton Golf Club Captains were pleased to present the Derbyshire Autism Service with a cheque for £4,000 on 4th April.

Olivia Dowling and Trevor Parrett selected DAS as their charity to support during their captaincy year as it was a local service based in Ripley.

It offers information, advice and guidance but above all support to children, young people and adults affected by Autism – with or without diagnosis – and their families.

Olivia and Trevor present the cheque to DAS charity employees Rosie Jones and Janette Ashworth.

From March 2017 through to March 2018 Golf Club Members gave generously to a range of fundraising events through the 12 month period. These included raffles, quiz nights, social golf matches, dinners, sponsored clothing etc. A big thank you to all who donated as well as provided help through the year.
